Contemporary media art has experienced very dynamic changes in the forms of its artistic expression, as well as in the perception of artworks by the audience and even art theoreticians. Questions about this new art form range from topics such as the unconventional nature of the elements constituting the artwork (program code, audience participation etc.), and the difficulties of displaying and preserving non-material art, to its proper place in the artistic landscape from the viewpoint of contemporary visual art. This paper aims to discuss the abovementioned questions through several case studies of various Latvian digital and contemporary media art areas.

El objetivo de esta investigación es, por un lado, conocer la relación existente entre el apoyo social percibido, la empatía emocional y cognitiva, la satisfacción con la vida, la expresión de ira como rasgo y cinco dimensiones del autoconcepto −académico, social, emocional, familiar y físico− en una muestra de residentes en un centro de reeducación de menores infractores en cumplimiento de medidas judiciales. The Role of Desire in The Prediction of Intention

This paper is based on the notion that desire represents an important motivational aspect of the decision-making process. Thus, we examined the hypotheses that desire (1) predicts behavioral intentions and (2) mediates the effects of theory of planned behavior (TPB) components and past behavior on an individual’s intention to quit smoking. The analysis is based on three separate conditions in which the intention to quit smoking during the next 1, 4, or 6 months, respectively, was measured; the three conditions contained identical variables. The specificity of Richard Hӧnigswald’s attitude to the issues raised in the Neo-Kantian philosophy was clearly visible in his approach to psychology. First of all, this covered the question of the objectivity of cognizance. Like other Neo-Kantian philosophers, Hӧnigswald undertook in his work both the problem of the relationship between philosophy and psychology and the problem of psychol- ogism. Many of the algorithms for solving vehicle routing problems expose parameters that strongly influence the quality of obtained solutions and the performance of the algorithm. This paper aims to examine the use of the circle metaphor within the functionalist perspective by Jakob von Uexküll and the morphological perspective by Viktor von Weizsäcker. Whereas the functionalist theory dissolves the unity of the organism in the multiplicity of functional relationships, Weizsäcker’s morphology recognizes the fundamental unity of the biological act, leading to a new concept of the living organism.
